OHHHHH! so sad!!!

We jsut got back from a farmer's market and we bought 8 baby guinea chicks. 4 where 1 month and 1 one week old, and 4 where only 1 week old. When we got home, one of the one week old ones was being trampled by the other one week old ones. He got really weak and we fed him sugar water and got him warm, but, he just died!

I thought that at 1 week old, chicks where able to live without their mothers and be strong. What happened?

He was probably a weak chick to begin with and you just didn't notice it in the excitment of buying new birds.
