wclaurence does have ohiki, I believe. He breeds a lot of longtails, and longcrowers! Another breeder is Toni-Marie Astin, but she doesn't let go of eggs very often. I'm lucky enough to be getting eggs from a project of hers involving ohiki/phoenix. Search onagadori, and usually you can come up with a few names!

Oh, I forgot to add that wclawrence is very very good at shipping eggs! I had a great hatch rate from his eggs last year!

I believe Ohiki need the same care as other breeds that don't stand temperature extremes well. A larger pen is recommended for the feathers to grow long without damaging them.
Napalongtails raises them, too I think. Here's a link to see some of his birds

They are absolutely gorgeous! But, as most breeders of longtails will tell you, they need a special diet as well!

It looks as if they are difficult (or tempermental) to breed. I think even the hens are very pretty.

*lol* Sorry, I'm being dense again. I looked at his BYC webpage and didn't see them listed so I thought his "hello" was more along the lines of "Hello.....what have we here?" I need more sleep.
