OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Thank you Big Medicine! Hope I have many hatches this year if we do get into quail. But I need to bring in a new layer breed and hatch some to replace lost/older layers.

Does anyone know where I can find a barred Cochin pullet? I'm just west of Cleveland. I'd travel about an hour to get it.
My daughter still misses her girl, it passed away last fall. She kept it in her bedroom, and put a diaper on it in the house.

We went to Rural King and I found the 6 black australorp pullets I wanted to replace lost and slower layers.Oh the other 3 are for my amusement. I now need to wait until these are feathered out until I pick up more Cochins, LF and bantam and get started with quail.

Rual King seems to have chicks early this year or is it me????? I pick-up 6 ISA brown pullets...they all ready had feathers on them...They said they were not selling so they discounted them...Nice...less feed time and further along.....I have 5 hens that I took in and added to a flock of 7....they still are not getting along...OH well....6 young ones are in the basement for a few more weeks...Then out to the garage...Nice weather Saturday....had them out in a tractor....Kevin
