OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hi there! I am in Fulton county Ohio, 40 miles east of Toledo and am a newbie to urban chicken farming! I am raising bearded silkies and so far am loving every minute of it!

Hello everyone! I just joined this site not too long ago. Another member from Ohio pointed this thread out to me.

I live in Montgomery County. I sadly don't have any chickens, but I am going to get ducks in the near future.

Well MallardDuckling, if you ever decide you want chickens, give me a holler. I just started hatching my own Silkies and have more than I know what to do with. Welcome to BYC!

I would love to own some one day! I live in the city, so I doubt I could right now. Though I do have a friend who lives in the same city as me and raises chickens.

Check it out Buckeyes . . .

I'm so excited. A new shop just opened up in Columbus Ohio! And they stock locally produced chicken feed!

It's City Folks Farm Shop at 4760 N. High St. in the Clintonville neighborhood.

They also have gardening supplies, cheese and yogurt making supplies, compost, worm bins . . .
They may start hosting local chicken meetups.

Here's their website:

(I am not in any way associated with this business, other than planning to be a regular customer. No more driving outside the city limits to buy food for my girls!)

You are down the road from me in Mantua!!!!
Hi all, Ravenna in Portage county here!!
