OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I'm in Sharonville, Ohio. First time chicken Mom to Henny, a black Australorpe, Betty, a Barred Plymouth Rock, and Summer, a Buff Orpingtom. I am in the downtown district, and due to an odd zoning, I was allowed to keep three hens in the backyard of my rented house. I am the first, I believe. Going to tonight's city council meeting with a 29 page report on local ordinances, and the keeping of chickens. Hopefully I can get the zoning ordinances changed for the rest of the residents.

Hiya! I'm Heather, raising chickens and rabbits in Northwest Ohio. I'm in the country outside of Defiance. This is my first batch of meat chickens. I have Jersey Giants, Black Australorps, Easter Eggers, mystery Wyandottes, mystery White birds and a barred rock. They're pretty good garbage disposals, and will take grasshoppers from my hand. They're housed in a coop with a yard. When I can afford to fence in my garden, they'll be free range.

Hello and
welcome-byc.gif
from Ohio, South West Ohio here, lol.

We just lost our last rooster, a gorgeous 3 month golden sebright, to a dog. The DH really doesn't like the idea of having a bunch of girls without a guy or two hanging around so we're on the lookout for a new roo. Does anyone in the Cleveland/Akron area have a few too many roos? We're looking for free or cheap. He doesn't need to be show quality or anything like that, but he does need to be somewhat friendly since they are free range & we're always out with them. Please let me know! Thank you!

Guess not Josh!
Hoping to sell the eggs.

I am addicted and my hubby keeps telling me "no we are not enlarging the coop and the run!

Little does he know!!!
We have lots of room.
Maybe now he will let me have the horse I want.... less work I think.
