Quick questuin. I've never had an egg hatch so this may sound stupid. The egg from last night pipped and started zipping in the middle of the egg. This morning there is one zipping towrd the big end of the egg. The one in the middle hasn't made and progress since 2:30 this morning and its break it just sticking out. It is moving and chirping some but I know it can take upto 48 hours.

Step away from the 'bator! LOL! Both sound like they are doing just fine. It's hard work to bust out of a calcified prison, so don't be concerned if the chickies take long breaks to rest. I have 1 out and 3 pipped this morning and I am FORCING myself to stay away. I'm only "allowed" to check on them once every hour and a half...my rules, of course. I'm excited since this is the first hatch from my new parti roo and I just love him...

My iPad wont let me add them to the thread.I'm hoping after DD's soccer game and running by the outlet mall a couple more will pip. I will be happy with just the two though so then they at least have company until I go pick up my new chicks after next week. I've been lucky enough to find two really great breeders that help me find exactly what I am looking for. Both are in Indiana and one drives down here just to meet me. The other one is meeting me half way this time because I'm meeting a third breeder so some BLR wyandottes and lavender and chocolate orpingtons.


Ill post a partial list of what they have and if anyone wants me to pick up extras let me know.

Ok, here is a partial list. The first one I don't have prices on and it's only partial because she hasn't gone through all of her chicks yet, she has around 100 and 3 incubators full. I got on vacation next weekend and then plan on starting meet ups with them for my new chicks. If anyone wants any let me know. I'm in Liberty township Ohio but can possibly meet.

What are you hatching? I can honestly now say I'm addicted to incubating after having chicks start zipping. Already have some eggs I'm planning on getting when I get back. Lol

Hey Fellow Buckeyes!

I am from Columbus. Is anyone interested in 3 Barred Rock Roosters? I need to find them a new home we got some chicks the end of March hoping t get fresh eggs. We got them from Rual King in a pen of straight runners, we picked out the cute ones but guess what we picked out 3 roosters. Ooops!! No eggs there. With me being blind in one eye it is difficult for me to take care of them the way that they should be taken care of. Theya re healthy and very active. If possible I would like to get $3.00 each for them the price we paid for them.
