OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Could I talk you into hatching some Basque out for me and I'll buy the chicks? We have set two clutches of eggs under broodies 2 different times with 0% success. I think hatching may not be the way to go for us!
did you try shipped eggs under broodies? if so, there usually isn't a lot of success with that, due to air cell problems. my basque are starting to molt, im not getting a lot of eggs at the moment. I can try to save a few, and I think I have some chicks here too. ill try and see if I have a good trio, but the way I have everything mixed up right now, its a mess.

does anyone have a good place where we could do this chicken swap? I can host it here, but I don't have a lot of parking and it would be a long drive for a lot of people. just listening to everyone talk, it seems like most of us are either by Toledo, or Cincinatti makes for a long drive no matter how you look at it.

Yeah, we need a northern and a southern contingent, lol! Tractor Supply seems to be good about hosting them...
my want list:
partridge silkies, buff bantam cochin, isbar, legbar, rhodebar, about any English orpington, blue copper marans, full blood polish, heritage delawares, heritage turkeys (I have blue slate and bronze but would take more) ----- ok ok ok if I don't have it I want it, if I do have it I still want more

the only breed I refuse to try anymore is barnevelders. and I don't do large fowl game birds.

what I typically have in chicks (ask if you need a specific color): old English bantam, cochin bantams, silkies, d'anvers, d'uccles, silver sebrites, heritage Dominique, heritage rhode island red, black australorps, American buff orpingtons, turkens, basque, buckeye, silver phoenix, davis line black copper marans, turkens, white leghorn, dark cornish, white laced red cornish (holding), silver laced Wyandotte, white and barred rock and light brahmas.

pharaoh quail- only 6 hens so I cant do any huge numbers at the moment - around 15 more growing

six more weeks.

other breeds coming soon. some are molting, some are growing.
partridge rocks, new hampshire red, black jersey giant, golden laced Wyandottes, white creasted blue polish, lemon cuckoo orpingtong, a mix I have to sort of sweedish flower, golden cuckoo maran, rhodebar, black amaraucana, Russian orloff,

I know I forgot a few, some on purpose over molt.

I can trade eggs or chicks, and I can mail chicks. I do have some adults im thinking of getting rid of.

hoping everyone else will list what they have. im sure we can all work out someplace to meet. possibly even Lucasville swap or Cesar's creek.

i did forget to mention, i have 6 pearl guineas that are past the brooder that i will get rid of CHEEP. i hatched them for someone else and they never picked them back up- i sold out on guineas for a reason, they are to loud for my taste.

Hmm, silkies and turkens. Urg :) so tempting. Well I have an extra legbar trio and two auto sexed green egger pullets. Not much but thats because mine are all babies but im hatching out way too many.Oh, not to mention some extra legbar Roos. Lol :D Have been debating on isbar eggs. Seeing if DH would kill me or not. Hehehe! So I might have some of those in mid August. My wants: Isbars (if I don't go ahead and order them;) ), a couple frizzled polish pullets, chocolate egger, black silkies, any silkie besides white (they are pretty but I can't keep anything clean). Wow, I think that is actually it for now.

I can try to sweet talk my DH and my dad into having it here. We got the space and a lot of yard parking =)

None of the ones I want to breed are laying yet =( They aren't due to lay until Fall or Spring so I have a LONG impatient wait! I am hoping to breed: Easter Eggers, Barred Rock, Blue/Black Copper Marans, Silkies. I need to see how my hatch goes and cross my fingers on Sulmtalers are well.

My want list: Penedesenca (if my marans aren't dark enough) Welsummer, Cochrins, Polish, and maybe Cream Legbars just so I have something from every color. I want too many

Yeah, with me it's not so much what I have as what I have available, if that makes sense! Just hatched out four adorable baby SFHs (anyone want some SFHs?), two seramas, a cuckoo marans and an isbar (leftover egg that was five days old, too old to ship so I stuck it in the 'bator) -- I'd have to plan in advance for a swap and do some hatching!!!
