OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

what kind of roos do you have?  Might be able to help move them depending on breed.

Thanks! The problem is, although I'm certainly not keeping that many, I can't decide yet who stays and who goes. I'm terribly indecisive lol. If I have as many Naked Neck cockerels as I think I do, at least a couple of those will have to go, leaving me still with 3 NN roosters which is way too many but I can't decide which colors to keep for breeding. (And Brian, don't you tempt me with your NN pair!! Oh my goodness, I'm already planning on spending way too much at the swap. DH thinks we're going to make a little money, not spend a small fortune. Surprise! :lau) I'm probably bringing an adorable tiny OEGB cockerel from my batch from Brian, I think he's a splash. He's so cute I want to keep him but will have no girls for him. If he doesn't go, I won't be too disappointed. The other roos..I'll just have to make up my mind soon.
Oh, and I WILL snatch up one of your snowy pairs, no matter what DH has to say about it! :p

I'm planning on getting to the swap at 9 to set up my few, but I'm usually fashionably late for everything lol.. A good little drive for us, too. So excited!
I still don't have cages to bring these birds in. >_> Probably should look into getting some tomorrow while I'm visiting in Columbus..

i do have some better jokes, but not appropriate for this site.

i think i would play a practical joke on my manager (depending on your relationship with them). just for making me stay there all night. you know, if your manager is a male - make a sign that says "ladies room" and hang on the office door. make a dunce cap and put it on their chair and put them in the corner facing it.... just make sure it doesn't do any damage, and is more to the funny side, and not offensive.

i once put a sign on the bathroom at work that said "josh's office". of course he spent a lot of time in the bathroom... his parents loved it, he didnt think it was so funny.

My issue lies in how to showcase everyone. I'm not sure how to do that yet. Thinking of bringing several small rolls of fencing and making small enclosures for them. I've got 3 or 4 olive egger roos for free. I'm giving them away mainly because I can't promise they will carry the blue egg gene yet as they are second generation from a SBEL roo and a EE roo.

ive gotta play musical chickens tomorrow, so i can empty out cages to bring them in. i have several cages, but all of them are open on the bottom- ill figure it out i guess.

Well just took 7 extremely clear eggs out. So down a total of 9 out of 26. Only 17 left and most of them are questionable. I did see some babies and anything with veins stayed in and will until day 14.

Showgirls are from Indiana. They are the ones that are slowly dwindling down. 7 totally clear on day 7. Not one vein.

the ones you question might be fine, silkies develop kind of slow.  mine usually dont fill the egg.

I did leave them in just in case. The ones that had babies I saw were hard to find so I am hoping they are just hiding. I did get some frustration out by throwing the ones that were clear. I have to figure out a way to candle the eggs in the coop with my broody hen. All of those will be a surprise because my kids keep sneaking more under her. I think there is 7. No idea what they will be. Maybe a turken mix or silkie mix.

I would love to do something like that to him loveourbirds, but our relationship is a little rocky. We get along well but he has been with the company less than a year and this store for 6 months and he tends to take things differently at times. Like the other day a customer came in and he was loading something for them. He is no small man by any means and the customer was even bigger than he is and the customer said jokingly "hard on a fat boy, huh" and he got highly upset and started cussing and carrying on about how rude he was and how disrespectful he was. Then a couple days later he makes a fat joke on himself directly to me?!?! I just don't understand his personality I guess. I get along with him and do not have any problems but I do not push my luck.
