Boy--wish I could come tomorrow! County fair coming up in a week and we have to get the birds my dd is taking tested for pullorum (thanks to the hatchery that never sent the PIP paperwork they promised, after repeated requests...losers), skillathons, and a garage sale to boot...then prep for riding in the wonderful Horse Parade with our 4-H club SUnday afternoon--horse baths, packing up...busy weekend! Hopefully some if not all of you can mosey up to Delaware County next month for the swap at Champion Feed!

I wish I could get to be in the horse parade this year but I just didn't have time. I haven't been in 2 years now I believe. I always brought the minis up and dressed up in our roadster costume with my stallion and people loved it when we would have to race the two minis to catch back up because the group in front of us would lag behind. Hoping next year I can get back up there.

You could still come and enjoy it as a spectator! Best parade there is anywhere...I loved watching it every year. This is just our second year riding in it with the club--we had a great time although my mare is a little silly and freaked at every manhole cover, reacting with a horizontal leap to the right or left every time one 'snuck' up on her Will be interesting to see what this year will bring...

i cant seem to find enough cages -- i really need to build a protable set. if your getting something from me, and have an extra cage it wouldnt hurt to bring it. im probably bringing some in boxes.

We had our first hawk attack. Urg. Two of the polish didn't make it our baby choc orp pullet also passed away from the cold. It was not fully feathered and i didnt realize it was going to be so cold. Its been that kind of day. Also found out a dear friend i worked with for 12 years passed away in her sleep. My stress level is at a max. But I'm finishing the coops next weekend finally. Looking on the bright side. Oh and our layers started laying.

I've resorted to using my live traps to display some of the birds, lol! I'll bring an extra cat carrier for my pair I'm getting from you. I'll try for 9 but not promising much as it could be 10 before i get there. I've got to clip done winds on the calls as i catch them in the morning cause one of them tried to fly off tonight because it apparently thought i was going to eat it. Dumb ducks

Wow! So much news since I have been on here, a few days ago! loveourbirds, I'm so sorry about the trouble your having and decisions you are having to make! I will start praying for you and your situation! He doesn't want us to go through tough times alone. He wants to help, if we seek Him and ask.

I'm going to bring a chicken crate and a small dog carrier for the ones I'm getting from you. I'm also going to bring a box or two just in case I HAVE to bring home some of the chicks that is being brought!

I hope my little car will hold everything! I can just see driving down the road with a chicken crate and dog carrier strapped to the roof of my car and leaving a trail of feathers behind!
