OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

i think i had a productive day, even though i got a late start - and got lost lol.
sold or traded 3 white leghorns, 2 wheaten oegbs, 2 black cochins, 2 lemon cuckoo cochins, 2 black copper marans, 2 dark brown leghorns, a ck white chick, and a black australorp rooster.  i ended up coming home with sebrites, and rabbits. all in all not a bad day, and DW is happy.

it was a pleasure meeting everyone, im sorry if i didnt get to talk to you much... thanks for all who waited on me to get there.
If your looking for more gold laced, i know someone who had some nice ones from show stock. Lives in Bentonville, Ohio.

Aubry don't like pictures, but yes she was so happy that she purchased this tiny little guy. Though she was mad at me when I put him with my other chicks. "Mommy that one is mine!" Then Alyssa got jealous that Aubry got something and she didn't so she went and got two chicks herself! I got a few pictures not many of some of the chickens that were here. If anyone feels they would want to do this again in Spring I think it will be great.
You going to post the rest of the pictures later? Those two are cute!

The Delaware Ohio swap is Oct 6, noon to 4 pm. At the Champion feed store on St Rt 36/37 west of 71 just as you are going into Delaware (before you get to Meijers)

I sold a trio of EE and 3 black sex link pullets and 3 pairs of call ducks. Sold 4 Guinea keets and 7 OE chicks. Can't complain. Came home with a pair of bantam black cochins. Sold 23 and came home with 2 new ones. Had an escaped mallard but did catch her luckily.

I'm going to try to make it to this one too. Bring some more call ducks and Pekins, some that are already laying, and the mallards. I'm hoping to get rid of some of those Pekins and the mallards before then but if not I'll come with them.

Just wanted to say what an enjoyable day we had! Thank you stevens21 for having all of us! That was very nice of you! It was so nice to put a face with the names. I brought home French copper marans, leghorns, easter eggers (blue eggs) and 7 oe chicks! Woot Woot!! I had quite the afternoon getting them all in separate pens!

I had two pens ready for the 2 pair I purchased from loveourbirds, thank you Brian, but the ee's and the chicks (thank you minihorse927) were not quite planned! Had to get a couple more feeders, buy chick feed, round up more waters, find something to put the chicks in, as our brooder is a 50 gal aquarium that I can't handle alone. Then this evening we had to get a pen ready for the ee's as I had to leave them in the chicken crate until dh got home! Had another commitment this afternoon also. I'm beat!

Looking forward to the spring swap. Hopefully I will have something poultry to contribute, since all I had to offer today were 4 adorable kittens!
Hope Mrdaze85 number 3 (DD) is enjoying her new little fuzzy addition to her family!

I'm glad you're thrilled with them! Any money I earned today is going to build breeding pens for these chickens. I'd like to get all the bantams in pens of their own before winter hits because I know they will be laying before winter. Looks like I'll be hatching part of the winter to provide juveniles for spring swaps! Hopefully chocolate orps and wyandottes!
