OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Haha. My broody hatched a little partridge chick. My husband freaked and called me and said he had brought it inside. I told him to put it back out. My kids think another one maybe hatching. Checking in a bit. :D But, still only 3 choc silkies in the incubator. It is just now hatch day but I've never had anything hatch on hatch day in the brinsea and I still have 3 showgirl eggs and one silkie egg. :( going to wait until the end of the day when I have to get the others out to see if they are even alive.:fl

We threw the baby in the incubator to dry off. The silkie in the coop was pecking it. There is another one hatching too.

Big Medicine~ Are you going to the Troy swap? We probably won't make it this time. We went to the one in spring. I have showgirls hopefully coming from the Delaware swap and DH says no more right now. He would have to build something to make more room and his plate is full right now. Maybe we will make the next spring swap.

I was seriously considering setting up on Saturday, but with them calling for rain now, probably not. Might still go up for a look though.

Do figure to bring birds to the swap across from Caesar Creek flea market Sunday morning, weather sounds much better.

If I can stay awake long enough I may go to the one at Caesar creek Sunday. Nothing to sell, just to look. Really want som good showgirls or silkies. If I can get there early I may find more than normal. Plus it's the last one of the year :(

It is a large swap that is located in Troy ohio at the montomery county fairgrounds.  I've only been there once and that was this past spring.  They have a little of everything.  There was a large metal building that had nothing but fowl.  Chickens and ducks are what I remember seeing.  All kinds.  I'm not sure of the dates, but you could probably google it.  Big Medicine posted a link about 10 (?) pages ago.

the Troy swap is at the Miami County fairgrounds, NOT Montgomery County

I haven't made it to a single one. I went to the very first one and it was canceled because of rain. I thought about taking some of these dag nabbin tsc silkies my girls just HAD to have. They're pet quality of course.

Are there many birds there? I might get my lazy bum up early and go.

Aw, really? It's a long drive but I was hoping to check it out sometime this year. Guess it'll have to wait 'til spring.
