Well I have 2 Gold-Laced Wyandotte pullets around 12 weeks old. I could let go of my 2 Production Red hens (may be Golden Comet? from TSC). They were one year old in May.

I'm in eastern Ohio, not too far from the WV panhandle border, but I'll be bringing birds to Mount Hope this coming weekend.

Well I'm going to update my stats LOL I'm in knox county ohio.

I have , Hens: 1EE , 1 wyandotte , 2 barred rock , 9 golden comets. Roosters: Cochin and Ameraucana.

I'm working on building a 2nd coop right now the one flock is roughing it. Hoping some day to expand to one of three breeds: Icelandic , Maran or more Ameraucanas..

What would a swap entail? Ive never been to one and would not mind hosting someday.

The swap is a large gathering of vendors - almost a flea market if you will - but the majority of the vendors sell poultry or small farm animals. There are several vendors who sell dogs/puppies and lots of "flippers" buying them.

Then there are vendors that sell rare/exotic animals (from skunks to alpacas to foxes and there were even alligators for sale this last time!)

The next Mt. Hope swap is in October. Mt. Hope has 3 swap meets a year - spring, summer, and fall. They also have exotic auctions several times a year.

There are other swap meets through out Ohio. I know there is one coming up the second weekend in August down in Danville, Oh.

Hi all! I'm in Marietta, and just starting out my backyard chicken flock

I'm looking for a broody mama to sit with my new babes (coming next week!)

I wanted to give anyone here first chance: I have a small flock of OEGB that are mixed with something else, but I am not sure what. There are 4 hens and 2 roos, plus 3 2-month-old babies. One of them, I am almost positive, is a cockeral, the other 2 are definitely pullets. They are good layers-I often get 3-4 eggs a day from them. They are healthy birds, free for the taking. They were given to me but I am getting too full with my own birds and am running out of room.
