OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Where is this convention (national?) Held? I'm between milford and blanchester in Ohio. Anyone with top hats or female orphingtons in my area that would like to trade/sell, give me a yell!

I heard about the mt. Healthy hatchery. Are there any hatcheries locally in clermont county or the mason to bethel Ohio areas that sell chicks this time of the year (august). All the online sites seem to be out of hatching eggs. At least the ones I looked at and found online. My phone book shows nothing for poultry or hatchery. I searched nearly every page! I would like to buy sexed chicks. I don't need more roosters at the moment. I have three, calm happy roos and three calm happy hens so far. Thanks.

We talking the Ohio National show ? If so, it is located on the Ohio State Fairgrounds, usually the Celeste building. Nov. 7-9 with emphasis on the 7 if your looking to buy.

What are you looking for in the way of hatching eggs ?

I know of 3 hatcheries in Ohio. Meyer Hatchery is in Polk Ohio. Mt Healthy is in Cincinnati and Ridgeway hatchery is in Le Rue Ohio. I know Meyer has Chicks, but a very limited selection. Good Luck.

Hello! We live in the central part of the state between Columbus and Newark. Just outside of New Albany. We actually only have 2 roos that we took in as strays. That is actually why I finally signed up to chat on this site. Unfortunately, our boys get along with each other but have become aggressive where my kids are concerned. They are actually my 11yr olds roos, but she is afraid of them now and we have recently learned that some of our neighbors REALLY don't care for the crowing. We are going to try to rehome them, but know it is very unlikely anyone will want them. So if anyone knows anyone in need of some very handsome roos, please let me know.

I guessed that they were bantams from looking at pics. I know practically nothing about chickens. Have been learning as we go. Nice to have someone let me know what they probably are! The lighter one (Chicken Boo), also has large feathers on his legs and feet. They were dumped last fall and we're just roaming the street. My daughter's begged to keep them. I foolishly thought they wouldn't be able to catch them. Ha! So now we have a coop for homeless roos.
