OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Poultry queen my one year old hens (only 4 of em) where bought to lay or eat. We have them apart in a large pen and in a few more weeks will se if my cockerel will adjust their attitudes finally.I just don't feel like they will do well with other birds nor can I rehome them now. I am having surgery in the morning. My top EE hen acts like a roo.
AND to Autumn my white EE pullets came from Meyers hatchery. They are colored like a Columbian in a way.
Tomorrow morning is my surgery so I hope by next week I will be out to the coop again. Hope my dr likes chickens too!! I will have to get a bench placed by my run to sit n watch the lil stinkers.

I hope your surgery goes well! Did you get them as started pullets or day old chicks? If chicks, what color were they then? Thanks for answering. We got our first chicks from Meyer in April. We have one EE but she is a dark hawk girl, brown with black penciling, black head and gold neck.

I think I finally found another of her eggs today. They are quite different from our ameraucanas, lunas eggs being large, round and baby blue, with the majority of the amerauacanas being long, green, and sometimes with speckles?

green and brown eggs are like the hardest thing in the world to candle!!

Hi everyone. I don't post much, but I had to share. I had my first hatch. I am so excited. Mommy and babies are doing great. I'm pretty sure the yellow ones are golden comet/buff orpington crosses. The little ones are Silkies. I'm not sure if they are crosses or not. Mama is a Partridge Silkie. I have a SLW Roo, a BO Roo, and a Partridge Silkie Roo. Any guesses?

awwwwww, the little one by itself appears to be a partridge silkie. You'll know by checking their wing feathers in a few days. If they're getting anything other than silkie feathers, they are mixed. I do have to say wow, a broody golden comet! That's not common!

Does anybody have a bred nigerian dwarf or pygmy goat for free/sale? We are receiving a nigerian doeling for breeding and we need a registered companion for her. Not getting a buck til possibly next year, but I dont want ot wait 2 years to have babies. We know goats are herd animals, and since the goat we are buying is 350, we need a goat that is way cheaper as we dont have the money.

Hi All! I am home, surgery went well. I can feel my right foot again n my pain is gone. WOOT WOOT!
Autumn my chick's came as just hatched this year from Meyer. I wish I would have ordered more LF breeds but there's next year.

Thanks Minihorse. I have 2 Partridge Silkies, but I didn't know if another roo got her. I keep all my bantams in a coop with all my young birds. They do get together from time to time, which is fine. No one fights. I just don't let the little ones have free range when the fields are up. I have lost 2 many birds that way. My older ones don't go into the fields, but the little ones love to explore. This is the only one of my Golden comets that I can't keep off the nest. She wants to sit on everything. I finally gave up and let her have some. She hatched 6 out of 8.

Where are you? I have a friend who lives near me in the Mount Sterling area. She breeds large goats, so she won't have what you want, but she is incharge of goats at our fair. She might know a breeder.
