Someone probably dumped them for being roosters. I would say yes, golden sebright, and im pretty sure thats a mille fleur d'uccle. I would take them... but, the last sebright I had wasnt the friendliest thing....very mean. But the d'uccle is pretty. Good luck

Hi everyone. I don't post much, but I had to share. I had my first hatch. I am so excited. Mommy and babies are doing great. I'm pretty sure the yellow ones are golden comet/buff orpington crosses. The little ones are Silkies. I'm not sure if they are crosses or not. Mama is a Partridge Silkie. I have a SLW Roo, a BO Roo, and a Partridge Silkie Roo. Any guesses?

Those are some Cute chicks!!!

I bought 30 meat chicks from murray mcmurray last week. I could set and watch them all day!

Hi All! I am home, surgery went well. I can feel my right foot again n my pain is gone. WOOT WOOT!
Autumn my chick's came as just hatched this year from Meyer. I wish I would have ordered more LF breeds but there's next year.

So glad everything went well! No more pain is heavenly! I know, as I had a herniated disc a few years back and I think I would rather be in labor and give birth to 10 babies!!

So not being in pain is very good!

Hello! We live in the central part of the state between Columbus and Newark. Just outside of New Albany. We actually only have 2 roos that we took in as strays. That is actually why I finally signed up to chat on this site. Unfortunately, our boys get along with each other but have become aggressive where my kids are concerned. They are actually my 11yr olds roos, but she is afraid of them now and we have recently learned that some of our neighbors REALLY don't care for the crowing. We are going to try to rehome them, but know it is very unlikely anyone will want them. So if anyone knows anyone in need of some very handsome roos, please let me know.
You should post an ad in the buy, sell, trade section also people have pretty good luck giving away rooster on Craigslist and at Tractor Supply Animal Swap or similar events.

Thanks for the good ideas. A neighbor suggested the Johnstown Swappers event. We might give it a shot! Thanks again!

I always worry about cock fighting at those types of things. Not the event itself, but the people who buy them. And Craigslist, too. If you go there, screen your prospective buyers. Lots of people sell chickens there. Last time I had extra roos I sent out a text blast to everyone on my list, i didn't care who. It worked. I got rid of all three. I've also done that successfully using email blasts. Also there is always the Amish auctions...

I also was concerned with the possibility of them being used for fighting. Then I was freaked out by a friend at work (I work at a vet clinic) who volunteers at the Franklin county dog shelter, who pointed out it is equally as likely they could be used as bait for dog fighting! She said they will take any free animals (including whole litters of puppies/ kittens) just to give their dogs more killing experience. Its a sick world. I'm starting to think we might just keep them. Besides, I'm pretty sure I heard 2 other roos nearby when I got up earlier than usual for kids first day back to school! So we won't be the only annoying neighbors anymore. I knew there were chickens, but the roos are newer. Maybe I'll just build another much larger coop &fenced in area for the boys &give the smaller moveable coop for the button quail my daughter is adamant she IS getting. Didn't realize how sentimental I was about those two silly roos!
