So I got a question the first one hatch out about two hours ago and we'll it been moving around and it knock some eggs against the wall and it's eggshell against another eggs should I just let everything be? I can here at least another one peeping
 
Everything seems to be going fine so far I have a splash Ameraucana and I have two eggs with holes in them. I think I'm doing pretty we'll for my second time hatching!

good job! I agree, leave them alone. They'll be fine.
 
This super cold weather needs to let up. I have 9 chicks that are a month old that are almost completely feathered and need to move outside, but even with a heatlamp its just too cold. Brooder is getting really crowded now.

Well it is supposed to let up after today but if they have each other and a heat lamp, they're fine. We had a broody hatch chicks last winter in the middle of the polar vortex. There were so many of them that when they got bigger, we had no choice but to put them in a big enclosed pen (it had wooden walls halfway up) and they had a heat lamp during the day but only their mother and each other at night. She cuddled them up in the bedding with her on the floor, and they were fine. they were about a month old at that time.
