That's a lovely mix! Pretty, colorful, and productive! I'm very pleased with my two columbian wyandottes from Meyer -- haven't started laying yet but BOY are they pretty!

I called Tractor Supply and they use Mt. Healthy Hatchery. I called them and they are sending me a catalogue. Rather a chick magazine!! I talked to the lady and asked what she suggested. Told her I want to start off kinda small. I will drive there to get them, but pretty much think I am going to get two Rhode Island Reds, two Golden Comets, and two Buckeyes. I don't know what to do as far as a rooster. I eventually want to hatch eggs, but will have to do things one at a time.

I got 50 cx and 25 rir last year before the out break. I didn;t have any problems. I'll buy again from them.

It's good to have a place to "get your feast on!" Friendly roosters are the best! Mine is always the first one to meet me when I walk out.

They do sound colorful!! The only ones I have on your list is the Black Austalorp. They are very sweet girls and getting so pretty! Their feathers are all black but they have an iridescent sheen. I wanted some CW but couldn't get them on the hatch date I was looking for. Perhaps next time.
