Call the Ohio Poultry Association not the Dept of Ag. The cost is $35 annually plus mileage, if you agree to the AI testing program they will waive the mileage fee. After your initial visit the pollorum and AI testing are done annually.

I was just in TSC in Eaton and saw an ad on their bulletin board that the Dayton Fancy feather club is having a SWAP tomorrow morning at the Preble county fairgrounds in Eaton!!! Guess where I'll be in the morning!!! wooo hooo!

Sure thing! Not certified but bought NPIP birds initially so looked into it. Still thinking about it but I don't think we are there yet.
 
Finally starting to get some more eggs from them girls!

Seperated my Speckled Sussex from the rest to confirm my suspicions, they are not laying at all. We are going to keep our SS roo and see what happens when we cross him on our RIR hens. He likes them best anyway. My younger SPPRs are laying so they'll stay too but all the SS hens and the older 2 SPPRs are heading off to the hen retirement home (a friends Dad who just loves chickens laying or not).

Have Marans and Ameraucanas in the brooder but think we'll add some started RIR or Wyandotte pullets after the other girls go off on their adventure.
