So... I was browsing rare breeds today.. I think I found my dream bird but I will NEVER be able to afford it lol

but .. it sure is a beautiful bird.

this is just an estimation, but in 3 years they will probably be about $100 for a day old chick.

Better then that price!!!

So I was talking to my dh tonight and he is making me put away the incubator until spring time I really wanted to try one more batch to see if I can master it. The ones we thought should be laying by now are not yet, which he said if we could sell there eggs (just eating) that could be put toward the feed and if I wanted to buy more birds. He also put me on a limit of 50 chickens.. Which I am at 55 now which I know there are a few rood in my maran batch I will have to get rid of when they older

Got a heck of a deal on 5 Comets, feeder, waterer, half bag of food and a coop with run tonight. $60! The chickens were just more than she wanted to deal with and basically wanted them gone. They are about a month away from laying so we should be able to start selling eggs again soon.

Hopefully have a buyer for our cockerals too!

All in all, it's been a good chicken day!

I discovered these a while back and they've been high on my "*DROOL* Must Have!!" list ever since. I found this farm through FB. At their price.. it may be a good decade or.. lifetime before I get my hands on them.

Lol. Mine said 25 and I have 27 and an incubator full.
