the color of the chicken is chocolate. I've got chocolate Orpington babies and chocolate Wyandotte babies.Do you have any pics of them? I haven't heard of them before. Now for a dumb question, is the chocolate the color of chicken or egg?
Welcome to BYC and to the OHIO thread!!!I'm in Olmsted Falls, OH
So far I've only got the two 6 week old chocolate orpingtons and 2 chocolate Wyandotte cockerels and 3 chocolate Wyandotte pullets. Planning on these being next years breeders. I've got 6 chocolate orpingtons eggs growing from pure greenfire birds and then 8 or so chocolate Wyandotte eggs from pure greenfire birds. My wyandottes are pure Foley lines. Are you going to be bringing any of them to the Swap???![]()
Oooooo!! NICE! Are the hens as pretty?
Well, They are sure beautiful. Maybe when you have some to sell, keep me on your list. I'm just a collector of sort! I just love having a couple of each breed that I like in my flock. They make it so interesting! I will just have to watch and make sure it doesn't become overwhelming. I already told dh I would like to get everything we need so we could just enjoy our chickens. It seems like this year all we have been doing is moving, building, or something with the flock. And we still don't have everything. I would like to have a couple of places for breeding pens, a brooder house, water run out to the coops, just everything convenient. My dear dh usually is the one filling the waterers and feeding. I just want to get it so it is easier to do. So adding more to our flock is more work for him. Going to try to rein myself in!! But their are sooo many breeds that I would like to have.So far I've only got the two 6 week old chocolate orpingtons and 2 chocolate Wyandotte cockerels and 3 chocolate Wyandotte pullets.
