The Delaware Ohio swap is Oct 6, noon to 4 pm. At the Champion feed store on St Rt 36/37 west of 71 just as you are going into Delaware (before you get to Meijers)

Shido, for commercial hatcheries check out Meyer Hatchery which is in Polk, OH -- they do a really nice job and have sturdy, healthy birds. They won't be breeder-quality, but I've been very happy with every bird I've had from them over the years

Thanks everyone! It seems Meyer Hatchery is a favorite place here in my state of Ohio. I believe their catalog said they'll be getting more bantams in February. Can you order them for pickup right there at their store/hatchery?

Yep That's what I do, since I'm so close. When you're on the checkout page, there's an option for pick-up instead of delivery. Hmmm -- I may have to break down and get more layer hens!

I wish I was closer to there, I had them shipped last time I ordered, which I think I need to order again in the Spring for a breed that my husband is looking into now.

Its so funny with my dad, its okay if the DH wants a certain breed, but when I want a certain breed its a different story! Mind you.. this is MY dad lol

Anybody had any experience with Mt. Healthy hatchery down near Cincinatti ? Would be way closer for you southerners.
