OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Getting excited about that Delaware Swap! I spoke with Scott from Champion Feed yesterday and we have plenty of room for tables, vehicles, critters...you name it.

Sunday October 6th
noon to 4 pm

The flier will be available very shortly and I will be sure to post a copy on here.

I finally sorted thru my pens to see what I will be taking...looks like a bunch of Silkie roos (Blue, Black, Black/silver), a few partridge Silkie pullets and any Showgirls/Silkies that hatch out next week (Partridge, black and black/blue showgirls). WOO-HOO!!!

I can barely wait to put some faces to the names on here!

I hated missing the swap last weekend but am really looking forward to this one! I am for sure bringing Icelandic chicks and probably splash, black and gray Silkie pullets that were a late June hatch.

Or I might keep those Silkies and check out your roos blessedchick! Hubs would be so thrilled. Not!

Possibly bringing my Silver Penciled Plymouth Rocks. Have Basque coming and Mottled Javas preordered for Spring so need to make a little room.

Setting my last batch of eggs for Delaware tomorrow :) I'll have rhodebar chicks (of course), and swedish flower hens, basques, and maybe a few other breeds, depending on how the hatch goes. I'm debating on a few older birds as well -- we'll see! When I've got an accurate head count of what's going, I'll post it :)

Very Cool--love that it's at my feedstore too!
And bonus...Delaware County Fair begins this Saturday--I'll print some flyers out and put them out around the poultry barn. Was there last night setting up and although turkeys are down broiler projects are up (again) so going to be a good turnout. A lot fo folks want to swap/sell after their fair projects are done, soooo....

As a matter of fact I was talking with some friends last night and he was going to bring me three black Silkie pullets....so tempted, but on the fence--I'll make sure he knows and maybe he'll have some to add to the pot!

I may bring my two Bluebell pullets--already laying well, but really want 2-3 CCL pullets, and with winter coming want to make sure they aren't too crowded...
