He has upper fixation of the patella. Its caused by muscle loss most commonly and is common in Miniature horses. He needs to be turned out to move a much as possible in order to try to help rebuild the muscle he needs to fix it. Gave him a selenium shot plus put him back on Purina mini horse feed and plus alfalfa pellets to help up his calcium and potassium level to help get his muscles firing again. It's a long term condition to fix but it can be done. He said it's odd it appears out of no where in a ten year old horse with no prior conditions. Once he gets back to where he can move he it's suppose to go on a regiment of uphill and down hill walking everyday to help build his hind end up.

Well, it's good it isn't real serious. Hoping he has a fast recovery. Will this affect the Brown County fair for you? You were going to take him weren't you? Hope he can go!

Well, it's good it isn't real serious. Hoping he has a fast recovery. Will this affect the Brown County fair for you? You were going to take him weren't you? Hope he can go!

He was suppose to go but now he can't show cause he can't bend his hind legs. I'm still going i just don't think I'll have driving horses there. If i took him just so Whinney could go, he would draw a lot of unwanted attention.

Someone had some beautiful silkies at lucasville in June. MOST were gorgeous SQ too. I talked to them, and they were just getting rid of the blacks because they came from their BBS pen and they only wanted the blues. I can kick myself for not getting a pair now.

There's usually folks set up under the big shelter too, along the back "wall", that sell only silkies, all ages, and the quality looks good. Maybe I can talk DH into a couple next month.. Need some more quality silkies for my showgirl hobby project.

I actually got him to admit the other day he doesn't care what I do with the chickens as long as I break even paying for their feed and meds and such! Didn't have the guts to tell him that probably won't happen.

Hey yeah, that's the people I was talking about. If you stand out in front of the bathroom from the big shelter building/pole barn at the entrance, they're usually up at the left hand corner by the wall. Lol! I guess I'm going to have to beat you there! Lol!

I need to regime my flock I have a trio of cream Legbars 75$ and 5 silkies that need good homes 10$ Legbars are laying beautifully and the rooster is Gorgeous 740 891 8127 SE ohio, these guys need homes ASAP
