OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

What does one do with quail? Just curious. No way Hubs will let me bring anything else home besides the pre-negotiated birds from the upcoming Delaware Swap! LOL That's what it's come to... negotiations! LOL

Eat 'em

I'm not getting quail till I have my own place again (right now I'm renting and luckily my landlady likes chickens) but after that, heck yeah!

INTERESTED INTERESTED! Wanna trade for a silkie roo?
Will you be coming to the Delaware swap? I would love to pick her up at that time...WOO-HOO! I'm missing blue eggs in my basket!

ShayBaby - I love your pix! That little SG was dissin' you big time, LOL! I just love their 'tudes...

I can't say for certain she would lay blue eggs because she hasn't laid any yet. I would love a silkie roo but I don't have any silkie hens : ( I want to get some but i don't have room right now maybe in the spring I can build a new coop for some.

do you have your state permits on the quail? i may be interested!

Do you have to have State Permit on quails? Or just bob white? I didn't get any of yours to hatch I'm not good at hatching but I keep trying! I found someone local on Craigslist that has some coturnix that I might be getting a few this weekend I think she said they are already 8 weeks old

Hehe! I know how you feel.my DH complains because they poop on the driveway. Urg! My kids like them, my dad grew up on a dairy farm so he is into it, but most other people look at me like I am crazy. Hehe tomorrow I'm putting my sampler pack in the incubator and 4 eggs from my silkies. Oh ill be in trouble. But it's oh well. I have a high stress job, a stressed with school, stressed with having a mentally ill child. They bring me peace. That is all that matters to me.

:highfive: Lone Chicken Rangers. It's nice your kids enjoy them! :hugs Good luck with the eggies!

you have to have permits for eastern wild turkeys, bobwhite quail, ringneck pheasant, and i think on grouse.

pharaoh and button quail shouldnt need a permit, all other breeds of turkeys are fine as far as i can tell. decorative pheasants dont need permits.

Thanks. Really hoping the isbars hatch. My step daughter decided she wanted some for her birthday because they lay green eggs. Plus they are super pretty.

Aw that kitten is adorable!! If I didn't already have 5 inside (4 of which I'd gladly be rid of if DH would let me..) and about 11 (that I know of..) neighbor/family cats running the property. I know everyone here is good-hearted but be leery who you give those cuties out to otherwise. I've heard there are sickos who troll Craigslist and such for black cats around Halloween for unspeakable purposes.

Can't wait for my quail to hatch! :jumpy
