Or at least segregate them some. Maybe have the livestock folks concentrated in one part of the Fairgrounds, flea market the other.

That would work too.Or at least segregate them some. Maybe have the livestock folks concentrated in one part of the Fairgrounds, flea market the other.
Talking to a guy over the weekend, he was looking for a rooster at the Eastgate Feedstore, I don't have a extra roo that i want to let go of just yet.
Tell him these are free, or I'm eating them. Either way, doesn't hurt my feelings. Trying to avoid craigslist route. Someone I know had a guy show up who wanted to buy her roosters just to let his fighting roosters kill them. I'm disgusted with what some do. Even worse is he admitted he was doing it.Talking to a guy over the weekend, he was looking for a rooster at the Eastgate Feedstore, I don't have a extra roo that i want to let go of just yet.
that's why we typically charge a small fee for them if we have to go that route. If they are worth eating we usually just go freezer camp with them.I would be tempted to get that guy's name and address and let the authorities know. For a while they were seriously cracking down on cock fighting in Ohio. Glad someone else feels that way about Craigslist...I won't go there to advertise our roosters. I dread the thought of even the Amish auction...though we may go that way eventually. So far we haven't had to. Been able to re-home all our extras
New to ohio, new to chickens.
I have six pullets (Still trying to reason this law saying minimum of 6 chickens). One looks different from the rest so I am hoping that we accidently got a roo. My hubby is adamant about no roos but I think that he would warm up to one.
I know a chick has to be fully feathered out to do to the outside coop, but what about letting them run during the day? How warm does it have to be if they are in the sun?
