Is this hard on their feet?......having hardware cloth on the bottom of the run, or is it just a designated area?
Anyone have tips to covering raised beds? I will be transplanting some tomatoes from the basement under lights to outside soon. Right now the birds are scratching up worms and kicking dirt all over. Last year the veggie plants were so big they didn't do too much damage to them picking at leaves. Toward the end of the season they would hangout under the canopy of the leaves. Also I want to start a asparagus patch but am afraid they would scratch up the bare roots.
Any tips/advice is appreciated.
This is where I want to do the asparagus patch

New brooder residents. They are getting moved to the top where it's taller tomorrow. I need to clean the top out from where we ground the sharp nails off and there's pieces left. They seen happy even on this cold morning!

yeah, they got brought back in this morning. They are in their huge rabbit cage brooder with their lamp again. Dang weatherIs this brooder outside ? I didn't see any heat lamps. If these are the case, I don't believe I would have the younger chicks out there with this weather. The little red chick is not feathered out enough for these temps.
