OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I want to pick up a decent pair of splash and/or paint Silkies. In the absence of adult birds, I'd like to get some hatching eggs. If anyone knows of anyone who has some or will be bringing any to the show, please let me know. My breeders are getting older and I'd like to get some new stock.

I have several utility buckeyes for sale at the moment if anyone is interested.

What kind of poultry is available there? I am starting to feel like a poultry junkie. I spend all my extra money on birds!

I have a proven trio of blue slate turkeys for sale. 1 of their babies took 3rd at the fair last yr at only 3 months old. He was beat by a 2 yr old & a 3 yr old.

I also have a yearling pair of pilgrim geese who are laying & fertile for sale.

And I have a few started bbw & rooster chicks available for meat.

I just filled the cabinet bator, so will have a ton of chicks (rainbow layers) available the first week of May.

PM me if interested.

There's a little bit of everything there. Ducks, geese, swans, chickens, ostriches, guineas, peafowl, quail, dogs, cats, goats, horses, parrots the list goes on. You aren't a poultry junkie until you start asking for chickens/chicken related items for holidays/birthdays...just one more fix, man.

No Silkies? Not even eggs? :(

My sister was hatching some Silkie/Showgirl eggs for me in her classroom incubator. She had a power outage just as it was time to leave for the day so she panicked and packed up the 'bator. She was piled up with chicks, eggs, and the incubator. She couldn't see very well over her pile and thought her young son was holding the door for her. He wasn't. He shut the door on her, knocking incubator and eggs to the ground. This is the third year that she has tried to hatch Silkies and due to some horrible series of unfortunate events (eggs broken in mail, eggs left on doorstep in winter temps, etc) she's only ever hatched 4 Silkies and the quality was awful. You guys don't know of any good local breeders who would be willing to sell me eggs, do you? I really do not want to have eggs shipped again.
