Hello all Cincinnati area chick lovers.
I need to rehime my 5 ladies ASAP.

Be careful what you ask for - great offer to buy on our house with closing in 15 days!

I have 13 mos old great layers.
1-Buckeye (Betty)
1-Comet (BB)
2-Barred Rock (Amelia and Christie)
1 Black Australorp

All are solid layers - 5 eggs/day are used to dogs and small children.

If you are looking to start the addiction without the chicks. This is the way to go.

I have nipple waterer buckets, metal waterer and heater for winter plus 2 feeders.

I am in NE area of Cincinnati - right on 275 loop.

Please let me know if anyone can be a great home to the ladies.

I really don't want to process them - they are too young and still very productive.

I actually have the perfect home for these guys. I have a lady looking for hens that has a autistic soon who can't eat store eggs but they discovered he can eat home eggs!

Minihorse - they are gentle ladies and would be proud to help someone fit all the pieces of the puzzle together.

The chemicals, antibiotics, steroids, gmo & soy they pump into production birds causes problems for so many people. My kids are so much healthier since we started growing our own eggs & poultry. (Some of my children are also on the autism spectrum.) The therapy factor for the birds is awesome as well. There's nothing like watching/holding a chicken to calm anxiety & stress. Some autistics interact better with animals than people. Glad to see these birds will be going to a good home.

A good friend took me with her to a breeder close to my home. Went with hopes to bring home a trio of LF Blue Cochin. The adults were sold sadly but I was able to get 3 blue chicks and two white. She also was able to get two blues and one barred plus a pair of mottled bantam she hopes will breed. Her flock was wiped out this year due to predators. So until they all feather out all our new babies are in our barns. My expansion plan has changed. One coop and run for my mixed flock and one for cochin.Oh and Minihorse I had to rehome the ducks. they attacked all my birds and my layers have almost stopped laying. 6 eggs a day out of 18 if I am lucky. They ducks now have a 7 acre pond to live in on a friends farm.

Yes the khakis turned into my flocks bullys. They attacked everything but me. My large male steered clear too. They have a better home now so we are both happy.

wow. Wonder why they did that. My Ancona coexist just fine with all the chickens. My guineas are the bullies here.

Oh yeah, if anyone wants 3 guinea hens, let me know!
