Wow. Really? All our birds stay over winter (unless they are unneeded). We just breed our own show and 4-H birds. However, I know from experience the difficulty of winter XD

mine are fairly friendly but I've handled them a lot. They lay an egg every day, sometimes twice a day. I've butchered out 14 so far with more in a couple weeks and they are easy to clean and butcher, make a lot of meat and cost me less than $1 each to raise. They don't require a lot of space and are not super noisy wit the males being the loudest having their little crowing contests. Unhandled they tend to be flighty and willing to take off but mine are happy sticking around me.@minihorse927I keep thinking about getting coturnix when I have more room. Are they a good bird to have?
@Alexandra33 I like going to Upper very much. We go up for the pumpkin patch and Hope Clinic. I only ever buy my pumpkins up there and haven't been disappointed. I have one on my steps right now from last year. I'm both impressed and disturbed that it is still in good shape. The one before it lasted until the following summer.
