OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

We came up to Illinois for Christmas and their snow arrived early. The weather report wasn't calling for snow until Wednesday the last I checked. I woke up this morning to snow on the ground. We're driving home tonight and of course I didn't pack my boots. I only have my converse so I'm learning how to ice skate tonight.

Sorry for your flooded pens and yards. We are fighting 3 sump pumps that can't drain out enough. Leachfield is flooded so we have an extra pump going out to the other part of the yard that drains into a storm drain. And all on the day Hubby had cataract surgery.Thankful that he is well though!

Blowing and raining in Northwest Ohio. I already killed one car by having to go through a deep puddle, ended up getting towed home. Wondering what we will wake up to tomorrow. I'm glad I got the coop pen plastic up this year, at least they have a small area to wander around in besides inside the coop itself.

Thankfully the rain has stopped! My mixed flock will not go out in the rain but after it ends. The Brahmas make any puddle larger from scratching in it, silly girls.

Oy, the wind tore the roofing off of the coop/run roof. The run door was open for daytime, so the rain just happened to be from that direction and got the food and run sand all wet. The rear coop door got warped and would not close tight, so the poopboard got wet, and they roost down on the board. Needless to say, hubby has a job to get done tomorrow. I fixed the coop door so it closes tighter, but we will have to remake better doors next summer.
