Hello from Preble county. I lost my flock to hungry fox this fall. I just got over the chicken withdraws, but its time for more. Any one in west central Ohio with bantam cochins for sale?

BuckeyeDave - I SO wish I had an incubator! I would LOVE to have Buckeyes!!!! Hmmm... maybe I can talk my cousin into letting me use her incubator or hatching them out for me...

Oh and an update... We have moved! We're still in Ohio, but now we live right on the line between Carroll and Jefferson County near a little town called Amsterdam.

I have plans to build a bigger coop eventually and get more chickens now that we have room to do so!

Are you guys snowed in? Beth, you're probably getting hammered out there!!! I can still see blades of grass but they're calling for 4 inches overnight. I'm ok with that - better than FEET!!!

The roads were awful this morning, but we only had a couple of inches of snow. I haven't been outside for a few hours, so I'm not sure how much we have now! I do know it was COLD when I was last out there checking on the chickens and taking the dogs out to go potty! Brrrr... back into the teens again.
