OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Everyone got yogurt yesterday and garlic, oregano mooshed potatoes today. Next water fill will be with some Braggs in it. But everyone seemed good. Her crop had more in then last time so improvement is showing. I'll check weight again tomorrow but I'm pretty sure we are out of the woods.

Good news! maybe she was fighting off a small infection from the broken toenail?

Could be. I weighed her again and she put on 2 oz in less then 48 hrs. Her crop felt normal again too. I'm pretty sure she's laying eggs too. I got 3 Maran eggs in 2 days. From 3 girls that should mean all of them laid an egg. They aren't egg a day layers.

So everything is looking really good. If Spring would finally show up it would look even better.

Hey all! I'm in Richland county :) new chicken mama. I have 3 chicks (2 tetra brown and 1 leghorn), and soon to be 7 hens (1yr olds) I'm buying from a friend once the husband is finished staining my coop. Chicks are tsc clearance straight run specials but are so fun! They're 3 weeks old

Welcome to the crazy world of chickens! I'm excited for you. Careful. They're so addicting. Stay away from the Baby Chick Pictures board. Taps a vein

Yesterday and today have been wonderful weather for working on the run. Coming along nicely. It's great to be able to get some farm type stuff done. Shew!
Anybody else loving the weather?

In the snow belt here. Loving this weather! Still a bit muddy but at least I feel like I could put some peat moss down now and not have it disappear by next week. Did a whole coop clean out today. The chickens are loving it too. Mine are big babies and won't go out in the cold.

I agree that today was beautiful. My chickens are still fairly young and today was the first time I had let them out free ranging. They loved every minute of it, and they all came faithfully back.
