OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

I hope that you had a fabulous weekend also Knobby. I was sorry to hear that you hurt your back. I have been going to the chiropractor after I cleaned 9 school buses doing 6 one week and then 3 the very next. I don't know what I was thinking as my back thought I was crazy and has given me trouble off and on ever since. I hope you feel better soon. I have to get back to work next month so I am hoping my back is better all the way by then. Have a good day.
Have you tried using a TENS unit? They sell them at Walmarts and you just place it on your back and let the electrical surge relax your muscles. It does wonders, but my back seems to have gotten jaded with it and requires stronger surges. Perhaps I should just stick a butter knife in an electrical outlet..hehe. Hope you feel better.

I have three bulging disks that I have had for years. That makes my sciatic nerve act up but eventually it will get better as it has in the past. Some of the devices I have to climb into in order to gather eggs does not help. I have a pet gazebo that they use to lay in at times and the door is only 4 foot high. That makes it difficult to put the feed in it to keep out of the weather and also reach the eggs so that they don't hatch anymore out on me. Thanks for the well wishes. I would probably electrocute myself with any devices that give you a charge, lol. Hopefully you will be on the mend too soon. Have a Blessed day Knobby.

I know how it feels..I have 3 degenerative disks as well and they do a number on my sciatic nerve. Sucks to be getting old..hehe

Hope everyone had a great relaxing weekend and are ready to tackle a new work week. I was able to build my Suncast 8'x7' resin storage shed, which I will be converting into our new chicken coop. I just need to address adding a sufficient ventilation system and run, then will combine my existing flocks together so I can prep for new arrivals using the two other existing coops. Hope everyone has a great day!

I hope that you have a good day too Knobby. So glad that you got your storge shed built. I bought a Suncast dog house one time for the ducks but it ended up being a poor investment. It was all cheap plastic that did not stay together so I ended up using the pieces to block places that ducklings could escape out of in a separate pen that they were in. I am glad that your storage shed turned out well for you.

Oh that's making me feel so good about my nearly thousand dollar investment...NOT..hehe. The shed went up without a hitch, but do know that there are measures that I will have to take to ensure that it was a good investment. First, I need to figure out a method to anchor it securely, so that it doesn't blow away on me during a storm. Right now, I built it on a 4 inch gravel foundation, with plans on pounded rebar 3 feet into the ground on 4 corners inside. Then using steel cables and running it through the metal roof supports and strapping it down to rebar that I'll pound 3 feet down on the 4 outside corners....too many projects, not enough time. Bottom line, need to make sure my flock is safe.

So this is my progress thus far. Still need to secure the shed down so that it doesn't blow away during storms, will tear down my pallet fencing around the existing coops and put a perimeter wired fencing around everything...and last, but not least, build a run from the new shed/coop. Hope this summer stays around for a bit, since I will need alot of time. Afterwards, will need to build housing for the goats and donkey that I am hoping to arrive soon.

side note, the stake in front of the shed, with the blue flag, is a marking of a nest that has 5 baby bunnies. Had to stop my construction so as to not disturb them. The mommy bunny always watches me and has allowed for me to come to within 2-3 feet from her.

I bought a pet gazebo years ago and in order to keep it stable we bought those tent anchors that actually screw into the ground and are really strong. It has kept it in place for years. Sounds like you have a good plan Knobby. Your shed is made a lot better than my cheap dog house for sure.
