OHio ~ Come on Buckeyes, let me know your out there!

Hello 👋 Fellow Ohioans.
I joined this forum a few weeks ago. But just found this thread for members from Ohio.
It's good to meet you all.
Hello!!! Welcome to this site. We are glad that you joined us. Where in Ohio are you located? I am 18 miles East of Columbus. A lot of people seem to be up North around the Lake. What type of flock do you have and how many? I have 19 ducks that I simply love!!!!

We're southeast of Akron. We are almost to the summit/portage county border. But still close enough to Erie to get the lake affect during the winter. We have a dozen chickens. Six Black Jersey Giants and 5 Barred Rock hens.

Correction: 7 jerseys and 5 barred rock.
There are some very knowledgeable folks here on BYC that are more than willing to help with any questions or issues you may have or encounter. Glad to hear you and your husband have gotten into poultry. How long have you had your flock and hope you are enjoying your new adventure in poultry.

It's a gorgeous 50° and sunny day today! Hope all is well with my fellow Buckeyes.
I hope all is well with you also Knobby. I am loving our November weather but feel bad for the snow removal people and the ski resorts. I got to put more sand in the duck pen on Saturday and that made both me a my ducks happy. I hope all of your animals are doing well too.

We have had them since March. But, my husband spent part of his growing up years on his grandparent's farm. Helping with the chickens was part of his chores.
I am glad we have them. They are relatively easy to care for as far as livestock go.
And the return on the investment comes around quickly. Lol. :p:yesss:
