I just wanted to share these pictures with my fellow Buckeyes!
I orderd this saddle custom from Marion at www.mbldesigns.com
She did such a fantastic job, and I know my hen will be a little more comfortable now. I'm hoping her feathers will grow back underneath the saddle in time for winter.

i have new babies!!!! pics to come soon! 6 new bobwhite quail (2 trios) and 6 golden buff chicks (all supposed to be girls!)
Hopefully Ill have some bobwhite eggs to spread around soon!

p.s.
my hubbie thinks I have lost it! But he started it all with my 5 white rocks for mothers day last year!

Hello all,
we are about 45 minutes east of Toledo, and 30 mins from portclinton.
We just finished our coop and are almost finished with our run... i need to find the thread on posting pics with dial up.
we are raising meat chickens and will butcher end of june, and have week old chicks (rhode island reds, barred rock, golden laced wyandotts,black australorps, and delawares.)

wondering if anyone has butchered their own meat chickens themselves?
do you restrict the feed at all? just wondering if it matters.
are there any places that have chicken shows for trade and sale in ohio?
