Only painting that I got done this weekend was in "mud"

I spent the whole weekend putting mud on the Sheetrock tape in my studio. Still not done - but excited to think one day I'll have a room all my own.

Carrie - Really nice pictures. I like your square pond! May be add a few boulders to change the shape - artist editing is always OK

I also will let the water run off the canvas as it is too small a pond for all that action. LOL Thanks, I really appreciate your input.

this is a nice thread with such nice artwork. i love the square pond if iwas there i would be looking into it right now.

i love the path in the other painting as it leads ur eyes to the hut

heres a couple of pieces iv painted since tuesday.

these was some keyring hooks that i was asked to do for a chook fancier

i really like the finished painting. it looks so peacefull. have u ever painted the same image but in its different seasons. fall and winter with snow on the trees and smoke drifting into the night air from a chimney . oh and at dusk too.. red sky at nite shepards delight they say here. but its normally a fire in the next village lol. im painting a pearl guinea sign this week for a byc member and u have given me an idea for my background with ur painting.

Thanks steve, yes, I had the same thought as I looked at this shack painting. I wanted to do it in snow. This is only about my ninth painting I have ever done and the first four are downright awful! LOL I can't wait to see your painting.
I want to do a few of the same scene to learn techniques. At least, I hope I will improve with each one. My next art class won't start till mid-july and I am anxious to learn all I can right now. LOL no patience here.
