Oil Paintings..Beginners Post your paintings!

Love the gourd and the pumpkins!! I am thrilled ...my art teacher is back from England. LOL She was here and gave me some instructions on some finshed paintings that I wasn't happy with. Hopefully, I will get my tree leaves right...someday. LOL

I've worked in sculpture,& even brokered art work. Painterman you have incredible talent! Your painting speaks a thousand words. If you haven't yet found the market for your work, try NY. There are gallery's looking for artist like you.....Best of luck, Chris

Great paintings and drawing folks, really admire all the talent here! I started "dabbling" in painting a few years back, haven't taken any lessons but have read a couple of great books. I've worked with acrylic, oil and now am playing with watercolors, here are a few I've done. And like so many others, I can't draw for love or money! Sorry, kinda pic heavy...

one of my all time favorites, done for a friend who built a mancave - had to cover up a strange electrical outlet, used his wall color paint to make it look like busted drywall showing a mousecave (he's a harley boy...hence the bike!)... mouse's mancave is by far the better mancave! painting is an 8x10 acrylic

Well, I can tell you that you bowled me over with the first one. LOL I was unbelievably impressed with the first one as one of your oils.

good job for sure. And to think you didn't have a lesson..I am not good at sitting down and reading one of my art books...too impatient to get started.

Thanks. I try. My DBF keeps telling me to take some lessons cuz I struggle with things a bit, but I don't take instruction well and overall would prefer in my artist endeavours to figure it out myself. No doubt I would probably do much better if I just gave up my stubborn streak and took a lesson or two, but.... I've been getting a bit of work from folks wanting watercolors of their children, so.. I'm happy enough

Wonderful stuff everyone. Have started a new beading project so painting for me has taken a back seat. Have also been busy with getting things together to do the flowers for my boss' daughter's wedding on the 20th.
