Would should I breed the SP Spalding male to? Do you find another SP Spalding hen or breed them to something else? And how can you tell the % of spalding?

At least now I have a Purple male for my purple pied hens now..........

Trouble with spalding, very hard to tell % of green blood.

Myself I would not breed him to a india blue, that would just lower the %.

If you can find SP or White spalding hens hope ones with high % of green.


IMO only reason to breed spalding is to add new colors in high %. Love the looks of a white spalding 31/32.
