ok i have to ask because i can't figure it out. what breed please

Yep those are Golden Comet girlies alright! You'll adore them as a laying breed. They're not the brightest crayons in the box, but they're chickens so they don't have to be. They're also very docile and sociable, I know I can't go into the backyard without them turning it into a parade.

You would know if you accidentally got a roo. These hybrids are designed to mature quickly, so the roo that I accidentally got with my order was crowing by 7 weeks! He also had the most uncomfortable-looking feathering out period I've ever seen. Poor thing.

Since they're hybrids, you get all sorts of different pattern variations on the 'gold' theme. Some are darker, some are lighter, some are half white, some are almost all red.

Have fun with them!

My red sexlink is my favorite hen, too. She's very sweet and makes the sweetest little cooing sounds while she's visiting. She's the only hen that will eat treats out of our hands. Our roo will, too, but our other hens just look at like "I'm not falling for your tricks!" Our SL hen is over 2 years old and while she doesn't lay more than 5 eggs a week anymore, her eggs are JUMBO sized, which makes up for them not being as frequent. She's a little thing, too.
