I was horrified for you, reading this story! I think I would have had to change my jammies after and experience like that!

But your husband running in naked, shooting the cat and then asking you about your life insurance - that is HILARIOUS!!!! I can see it playing out in a movie right now. LOl!

ETA - I'm really glad you are all safe. Poor lion, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Wow you have a great DH even if it took a few clicks of the walkie talkie to hear you. The fact that he did not even put on clothes is a sign of how VERY much he loves you, with or with out your insurance policy

Wow, you did good! Glad it wasn't your daughter that went out to the garage.....I'd be looking over my shoulder for weeks after that!

I am so glad that you are alright, geesh having that experience had to be the scariest thing to have happened, I don't know that I could have handled it that well, You are very LUCKY!

Okay, you win. I thought I was having "one of those weeks," but, nope, you won.

Glad you are okay...good thinking with the radio. AND OMG- the vision of the DH coming out in his altogethers...wow.

Hope your weekend is BORING!

Thanks all...I thought you would get some chuckles out of it somewhere. I am laughing about it now but for the first day or so after...I was not.

We knew the cats were about...there is a bigger one that comes through the yard a lot. We have seen her coming and going, so seeing one does not frighten me. The bark they do is terrifying that close. Yes they bark they do not roar or purr or sound kitty like at all. Plus, she was hurt and very unpredictable. I did not even think about it until after it was all over but there was my pitchfork hanging right beside me.

I just cannot believe I did not think about grabbing it and fending her off with that until I could get out of the garage, DH asked me about it later and I was like "Huh? Oh yeah never thought about it" *smacks self in forehead*

As to pictures..me who takes pictures of everything...never thought about it. I was really freaked out. I hated that she was killed but it was unavoidable under the circumstances. I would rather hubby have killed her than her wander off injured and hurt someone or suffer herself.

Yeah he loves me whether I am insured or not.

He said he knew instantly from the tone of my voice that I was serious and not joking with him and he just reacted. Thank goodness because I do not know if I would have thought about the pitchfork or not at that point. I hope I would have but you never know.

Whew...I am looking forward to a quiet week now. VERY calm and quiet.

On a good note...the raccoon was hysterically funny. Poor guy actually had me feeling sorry for him for a moment.
