Thanks all...I thought you would get some chuckles out of it somewhere. I am laughing about it now but for the first day or so after...I was not.
We knew the cats were about...there is a bigger one that comes through the yard a lot. We have seen her coming and going, so seeing one does not frighten me. The bark they do is terrifying that close. Yes they bark they do not roar or purr or sound kitty like at all. Plus, she was hurt and very unpredictable. I did not even think about it until after it was all over but there was my pitchfork hanging right beside me.
I just cannot believe I did not think about grabbing it and fending her off with that until I could get out of the garage, DH asked me about it later and I was like "Huh? Oh yeah never thought about it" *smacks self in forehead*
As to pictures..me who takes pictures of everything...never thought about it. I was really freaked out. I hated that she was killed but it was unavoidable under the circumstances. I would rather hubby have killed her than her wander off injured and hurt someone or suffer herself.
Yeah he loves me whether I am insured or not.
He said he knew instantly from the tone of my voice that I was serious and not joking with him and he just reacted. Thank goodness because I do not know if I would have thought about the pitchfork or not at that point. I hope I would have but you never know.
Whew...I am looking forward to a quiet week now. VERY calm and quiet.
On a good note...the raccoon was hysterically funny. Poor guy actually had me feeling sorry for him for a moment.
