I absolutely love how ducks just LOVE everything - it all makes them happy! The excited billing of new things, the gabbling back and forth about it, the sheer joy of finding water. They are ALWAYS happy in the world.

Oh, they might have a momentary complaint about an empty food dish, or not being given enough attention, but they are so easily pleased. Even the insistant tug at your pants leg, or nibble on your fingers is adorable.

Plus, ducklings running to greet you with their useless little pin-feathered arms out just makes me laugh deep from my belly. Ducks are a hoot!

So true! Do they have therapy ducks just like therapy dogs? If not they should!

OMG.. that is just soooo true! I love them to pieces. They run to me like "mommy mommy mommy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when my chickens come around. they are sooo personable. I never thought they would be so loving so dependant on me. They definitly have stolen my heart. AND ticked off my girls who now snub me when the ducklings are around.

How sweet... we got our first ducks yesterday.
2 are 6week old crested somethings (looking blue and white/cream/buff??) ... I don't think they have been handled much, I hope they get used to us and follow us around like that.

I used to say to my 2 hand raised babies...flap them Gorkers and they would run round on tippy toes flapping those ...gorky wings. Well I said it yesterday to them and got batted upside the head as they took off across the yard all excited flapping those huge wings and running on tippy toes. They are now full grown HUGE Pekin Drakes. It darm hurt too...remind me not to say it while im nealing down next to them
