I just know what im going to put on look out for Chicken Charlottes posts you will see some beutuful hens and cute chicks my chicken went broody so shes hatching the chicks. Im only young and dont breed but love animals. I have never showed though can you show any chicken does it have to be pure breads like cows?

Most of the time they have to be purebreeds. But then again I not sure.

To show poultry at any show or fair, they must be standard breeds: Breeds accepted in the American Standard of Perfect by the American Poultry Poultry Association. Available at http://www.amerpoultryassn.com/APA_ShoppingMall3.htm

A Red Sexlink is not a breed, but a hybrid cross of two breeds. Thus would be disqualified at a poultry show. A Buff Orpington would be allowed, however, if it does not meet the Standard description, it would either be disqualified or just not placed.
