Okay, few more questions....

Have you calibrated your thermometer? That's the most important thing. Then check for temp variation in the bator, because there will be some. Then, see if you can get the temp up just a tiny bit more. Better 99 - 100 IMO. Then, IMO, drop that humidity to around 30% to start. If you start too high, you can't adjust it later.

My hubby is doing all that. He had it up to 102, because I told him that's what is was supposed to be on the still air bator. So humidity should be 30% now in the forced air?

Jumping in here. Fan air..even then, I wouldn't go over 101. Especially if you are close to lock down. Are you? If in lock down, go to 55% humidity at least..I like 60%..to mid 60's.

Just saw you are going into lock down..need to raise that humidity. 100 to 101 will be great for temp. :)

Ahh, I see. Well then...

Forced air..99.5 is the ideal temp. And I personally like to do what they call now days..a dry incubation..which still includes a bit of humidity. Back in the ..olden days, :)... it used to be 55% for incubation. Now, most folks are finding that having the bator in the low to mid 30% range works best for them.
For lock down with forced air..like I said, 60% to mid 60%..day 18 or 19..which ever day you decide to go into lock down. You will find as you hatch eggs, what works best for your bator..which room, how your bator is working. Going with the ..norm..for now is what folks do with new bators, until they see how they work. Good luck! :) Have fun!!

Cynthia, I think you meant to say that still air would be 101. Forced air is 99.5. IMO, humidity would be the same for forced or still air. 30's days 1 - 18, 65 - 75% during lock down.
