So, I bought these hens with a whole group, someone was selling off all their chickens and he said he hatched them from a rare bantam assortment from a hatchery. I cannot figure out what they are. They are good flyers, good layers (out of 5 hens, I get at least 3 eggs everyday), 4 out of 5 have beards, 4 toes, light skin, feathered legs, and are ALL hens. Too bad, they are so cute I'd love to breed them. Anyone have a guess at what they might be? And don't say sebrights, they are not it.

Here's some pictures I took today.

Oh, and they go broody like silkies.... easily!

Here's a closer look at the design. A very pretty and intricate double lacing.

They look like a brahma cross to me, possibly with polish or silkie due to the little hat they have on their head. How many toes do they have? They are definitely not EE, don't know why that's such a popular term for every bird of mixed origin.

Yes, they kinda look like your chicks, Sheila. Not EE, their eggs are a white to light cream color. No, I don't know the hatchery. The guy I bought them from was a little crazy, hard to understand anything he was saying.
