Sold the rest of my MFCs last year, then lost of my three big girls in a cold snap. They were already stressed (I think they may have had some respiratory junk) and I woke up one morning and they were all gone

I need to figure out how to put a roof on a dog run (10x10x6 chain link) so I can get more chickens. J bought himself a Rottie puppy (she's 8 months old now) so I want something out there I can depend on to keep the dogs out. Future chickens will have their coop inside the chain link run.

I'm hoping I make sense. I'm waiting for dinner to be delivered... I'm cheating when it comes to feeding the kids tonight. I really don't want to cook. LOL

She's so tiny and darling!! I bet her mama is just worried sick her being born early. She looks great though!

She is, we all are. It has been a long road thru this pregnancy, but despite everything she is pulling thru better than expected so far. And we want to keep it that way! LOL

If raised right you should have any problems with a rottie and your chickens. We have 2 rotts and the only problem we had was the youngest thinking he could play with them. He has learned he cant, they are too small for playmates.

Cute! Wish we were going - got too much to do; too tired during the week to hardly fold laundry and empty the dish washer. Never too tired to feed, water and play with chickens though.

Brynna so far is a big, bumbling baby. She's been through second level obedience training and we work with her every day. However, she's very smart and very stubborn, so I figure that I should absolutely not trust her for a while.

I think the dog we're going to have more problems with is going to be the Boston. That terrier/terror thing. Working on her education too, but she's new.

Kwartel and I are going...we're bringing some EE cockerals, pied keets, some cages, and feeders to the swap. Look forward to seeing you there! Hopefully the drive will be well worth it.

What time are you going? It would be nice to meet up with some nice people I already know

We are going to try to be there by 7:00am when the swap starts...we'll be looking for you!
