I did see them and wondered about white pumpkins.

Wonder if the flesh is the same as the darker ones?

I use all my squash in similar ways, every tomato based sauce basically gets some squash, I like them pan seared in butter and pepper and garlic powder (just a little butter what you would butter them w/ if eating them alone and cover the pan so they are almost half steamed), also chopped w/ onion, garlic, tomato, and seasonings, use them in stir fry, I have also been slicing them coating them in powdered sugar and cinnimon and dehydrating them that is awesome, really!!!!! It was so good I tried it w/ okra too, well ........................ that was less successfull, won't be doing that again!!!!!

I have not tried it but bet they would be awesome stuffed and baked.

SixShooter, thanks for the dogfood info.
BFrancis, that's the most awesome building for the quail!
I used to have Great Pyrenees and do Pyrenees rescue. I just found this old picture on an old Pyrenees websight of me and my very 1st Pyrenees, Quinn. Sniff. He was the sweetest gentlest dog I ever knew. He was just over 12 when he died so we did get to keep him for a nice long time. I can't believe this picture was 16 yrs ago!!! I was only 35 at the time, Quinnie was 2.

So far only 3 have hatched. About 30 left to go:jumpy
I'm having a hard time keeping that humidity up and the new chicks keep moving the eggs around. Is that going to effect hatching?

Your pen is awesome!

Took the dogs out at 6:45 am....2.2 in the rain guage. It is still misting. Hope we get a little more.....I know, I'm greedy.
The sand we added to the chicken pens along with a runoff channel has drained nicely...still need a little right up next to the barn wall in the hen run...if the girls will leave it alone. Looks like everyone survived the "lovely rainy night".

Hope everyone has loads of water!

hi guys- glad you all got some rain, we got enuf to settle the dust....

anyone figure out the laws in Brroken Arrow on chickens? thats some confusing regs....

off to find the coffee pot and feed critters- check with you all later!

Morning all, looks like it rained most of the night and is likely to continue off and on all day. Most of has been a slow steady soaking rain but some run off. Will have to go check teh seasonal pond later to see if it did any real good. I think another 3-5 inches would be outstanding would definetely help out the cattle producers.
