Did you look @ the suggested yield for your variety? Don't remember what seed I was looking @ the other day but it was expensive & didn't look like the yield even produced the cost of the seed.

Yea we got a ton of it here and high winds must have come through too. Had several branches down...they didn't hit anything so that was good, did spend a good deal of time cleaning the netting off all runs and tightening the nets back up though.
The EE pullets we got at the sale are all settled in the quarantine run...look pretty healthy...can't wait to add them to the mutt flock and them start laying, bet they're going to hatch some awesome looking chicks.

No I didn't they were zipper cream southern peas.
I googled them & they are suppose to have a high yield. Last yr I planted some pole beans & only ever picked enough to throw in a stir-fry. It was a sad waste of space for me! About as sad as my broccoli & cauliflower. But my cabbage did well--- the worms all came over to enjoy it.

Are you making my mothers "Chicken Surprise" (it didn't have chicken in it sometimes), or even worse "Whatever" which includes whatever you find in the cabinet, fridge, or freezer? Needless to say I started cooking dinner for the family at an early age.

We always grow two kinds of sweet pea with edible pods, in the garden most get eaten in the garden by me or the kids, we actually had some to put up year before last. I am the worste about baby corn, sweet peas, young green beans, fresh carrots, broccoli for stir fry so go pick what I want for dinner. Needless to say there is little that makes in the freezer or jar.
Very nice birds Gotgame! They sure do have some neat colors. Its hard to believe chickens can be so big. They really have that dinosaur look! I'm surprised to hear they lay so well. You must have a combination of good birds and a good feed regime.
