***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Apparently I'm absurdly terrible at the egg-acquiring business

I don't want to settle for just anything but I don't want to give my right arm for a dozen eggs either! I should have taken Mitzi up on her offer (bless her heart) but I keep lining things up and they keep falling through! I get that the faverolles eggs are maybe a bit much for me to ask for but some Cochins shouldn't be sooooo difficult

Wayne I love my pond, and esp all the trees around it, I have lilly pads of several different colors and water iris that will all be blooming come spring I'm thinking the birds might have killed off most of the parrots feather that I put in it I may have to find a replacement for it that the birds won't eat it made a lot of cover for the small fish and goldfish I have in there.

Tony I sent you one back Sir

Hi Maribeth,
Glad to see you on the thread. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

It was a great holiday. Christmas eve with sons in OKC and then a quick trip to San Antonio to surprise my mom. Had a great time with my mom and two of my siblings. Sure was glad today was a state holiday.

Great coop Bill! Looks like your chickens like it too.

Poco - very nice present from your granddaughter. She is talented young lady.

Enjoying all the pics everyone has posted.

My smallest Serama hen is broody again. She's on day ten and eight of the nine she's sitting on have moving embryos. One egg I'm not sure about. Her boyfriend, Sidewinder is getting bullied by the other Serama's I got a couple of weeks ago so he's been getting extra time indoors with me. He doesn't like to wear his diaper but tolerates it, and he follows me from room to room when he's in the house. He's so funny!

The two Sil-Go links that Al gave me awhile back are growing nicely but the pullet is kind of mean. As soon as she sees me she makes a bee-line for my ankles and bites my pant legs. I don't dare put my hand down near her because she will bite relentlessly. Not sure why she's like that but she's sure got an attitude.

Me, I would go with the bigger of the two so when I got bored with the rabbits it would make a bigger meal.

Seriously I dont have much to contribute other than say hi, and put pictures on when you decide. I have always liked rabbits, but have never had any for any length of time.
