***OKIES in the BYC III ***

We are doing better than some on rain but still you can see that we need it. I don't like winter at all but will take any mositure we can get.

I am day dreaming now about the garden that is to come & hope to have better luck this year than last.

Just checked Lucie the broodie hen. Just barely lifted her and She has three chicks so far in stages of drying...looks like four more eggs to go. Took out the empty shells. One is a Minorca X, one is an Australorp X and one looks Wyandotte. Will check her again in a few hours. Later will move them into the nice clean bigger cage with a light for a little more heat. And get photos. I just love babies!!

sjarvis and all breeds Thank you for your kind offers of incubator space and hatching expertise, but I didn't get the eggs. The bidding went way to high for my budget, even what I was considering for my splurge budget. It was actually for the best I wasn't near ready for the additions, the only reason I was even considering bidding was I have drooled over this BYC'ers chickens since I've been on BYC.

not that far..

That is an a long way to drive to dub one cockeral! Let us see what we do with new chickens & maybe we can work it out then! I only have two wheaten hens & two cockerals......Just noticed the slight tip of white on a single wing feather. I need to check the cockeral.

call kenneth, he might want to ride down thursday and do it for you. p.m. me if you need his number.

Awesome nanakat!!!! can't wait for the pics. I'm still harvesting roots and greens and broccoli too, but we've got enough rain I haven't had to water at all.

Sooner, so far so good, nothing horrible so far today. I plan on being around the house cleaning and hopefully if it warms up a little outside this pm work in the yard / garden. (I'll go out in the 110' days and work in the garden no problem, just hose myself down every 30 minutes or so (when I dry off) but I don't do cold weather.

Minus the major pain in my head, it's been alright. I got to torture the kiddos for a few minutes before they went to school.

Migraine?

I had a cyst removed last week. One of the stitches ripped out this morning.

Aww that is cute! Look forward to the pictures. I have one hen that thinks she wants to set but I keep taking her eggs....I don't want babies right now unless the Wheatons will lay enough for a clutch.

I don't want to bother him. It will wait for now.....I'm sure I will be down his way for a show or something soon....
